Be A Player! will host a Free Sports Physicals and ECG Screening event at Jones High School on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade who need a sports physical and heart screening for participation in school athletics. Families are encouraged to attend early and take advantage of this important, no-cost opportunity to help ensure students are healthy and ready for the upcoming athletic season.

Hello Phoenix Family!

I am Dr. Erin Vacchio, and I am so excited for the 2025-26 school year at Acceleration East High School! We have planned for a wonderful school year ahead, filled with a high focus on academics, lots of great involvement opportunities, and exciting events. 

This year, we will continue to work hard to maintain the student-centered focus at Acceleration East while building new traditions and a stronger sense of community for our students. For our current and future students, we are committed to providing you with an inclusive, supportive, and tailored education to meet your postsecondary goals.  For our parents, we will work tirelessly for your children to ensure a safe, wholesome, and caring approach to their education.  We will continue to work with our many partners to provide students the opportunity to participate in relevant coursework and dual enrollment opportunities through Orange Technical College, Valencia College, University of Central Florida, or the University of Florida.

This is an exciting time to be a Phoenix.  We are all ready for what this year will bring.  I encourage all students, families, and community partners to get involved in your school.  If you can volunteer for the day, an hour or provide a service, we can use your support.  Students, be involved in your school; be a role model for those coming behind you, and take advantage of all that your school can provide.  If I can ever be of service, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
