Principal's Message

August 5, 2020

Here we are already in the middle of the week leading up to the first day of school and it is the ideal time to do some short range and long range planning with your student. Whether your student is in [email protected] or Face-to-Face, the goals and outcomes for the first nine weeks should be the same - acclimation, organization, establishing routine, and success.

While we strive to achieve these goals in smaller increments through the first nine weeks, these are still long term. We seek to duplicate success and we seek to adjust when we fall short of it. But the journey is interdependent. I cannot claim success as a principal with achieving these things if not for my reliance on you and your child, our teachers and their teams, the support of our community, and the support of our school district. Absent any of those pieces, these goals aren't achieved.

Come next Monday, the pieces start to fit together to achieve the goals we are setting for this year. We will build on successes from last year such as our students' academic gains, our recent recognition for helping students get financially prepared for college, or how we have broadened the extracurricular opportunities for students, but we certainly won't rest on our laurels. It's a new year, new opportunity, and for every student, a fresh start and a chance to grow in to the best version of you!

Mr. Doug Loftus
Principal
